PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Project Coordinator, Screening for Social, Communicative and Behavioral Problems in the Schools, September 2003-April 2004; Colorado Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities Research and Epidemiology (CADDRE), University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
Responsibilities:
- Managed the implementation of research plans, including communications with school district administrators, elementary school principals and teachers, the CADDRE research team, and the Colorado Multiple Institutions Review Board (COMIRB).
- Assisted with the development of the study protocol and study questionnaires.
- Developed supporting documents (project overview, cover letters, tracking sheets, recruitment flyer, etc.)
- Coordinated activities related to recruiting and scheduling participants, and conducting data collection visits to schools.
- Supervised a research assistant, who was responsible for setting up the databases, scheduling participants and assisting with conducting site visits.
- Developed project work plans and timelines.
Social Work Consultant, ENRICH program for early intervention, July 2003 - April 2004; JFK Partners, University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
Responsibilities:
- Provided social work consultation to the team of home interventionists around psychosocial issues affecting the families for whom they were providing early intervention services.
- Participated in an administrative sub-committee, which focused on activities related to program development, implementation and evaluation.
- Assisted with program research projects, including scoring parent-child interaction videotapes and entering and analyzing data from Daily Activity Rating Scales.
Social Work Consultant, Dual Diagnosis Clinical Evaluation Team, September 2002-June 2003; JFK Partners, University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
Responsibilities:
- Conducted psychosocial interviews with parents of children being evaluated by the team and developed corresponding reports.
- Collected information from parents about their child's social, communication, self-help and motor skills using the VINELAND Adaptive Behavior Scales.
- Scored and summarized VINELAND results and incorporated them into team reports.
- Provided social work consultation to the team around psychosocial issues affecting the families.

Health Project Coordinator, Availability of Hepatitis B Vaccine for High-Risk Adolescents, November 2001 - August 2002; Rochester Child Health Studies, Department of Pediatrics, School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Rochester, Rochester, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Managed the implementation of research plans, including communications with technical consultants, the sponsoring organization (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), and the University's Research Subjects Review Board.
- Located and obtained national lists of alternative health care settings: STD clinics, Family Planning clinics, School-Based Health Centers, Teen Clinics and Youth Corrections Facilities.
- Worked closely with the project programmer to create a database for sampling, tracking, and entering survey data.
- Assisted with the development of focus group discussion guides and survey questions.
- Coordinated all activities related to identifying and scheduling participants, and conducting 6 telephone focus groups.

Project Manager, Evaluation of Fetal and Infant Mortality Review (FIMR) Programs Nationwide, November 1997 - September 2001; Women's and Children's Health Policy Center, Department of Population and Family Health Sciences, School of Hygiene and Public Health, Johns Hopkins University.
Responsibilities:
- Managed the implementation of research plans, including all communications with Maternal and Child Health professionals at study sites, with technical consultants, with the university's Committee on Human Research, and with sponsoring organizations (Maternal and Child Health Bureau and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists).
- Assisted with the development of data collection instruments and evaluation procedures.
- Coordinated and supervised activities of project staff with respect to scheduling and conducting interviews, management of tracking and survey data, production of study materials, and making arrangements for site visits.
- Worked closely with project faculty and Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) staff to prepare the Supporting Statement and necessary appendices for submission to the Office of Management and Budget.
- Served as the primary contact person in a contract for data collection services; Collaborated with company staff to: 1) convert written surveys into a format used for computer assisted telephone interview; 2) train interviewers; and 3) monitor progress.
- Oversaw the completion of 328 in-depth telephone interviews (77% response rate).
- Scheduled and conducted in-depth telephone and on-site interviews, as needed.
- Assisted with data analysis, interpretation of evaluation data and preparation of data reports.
- Prepared progress and other program reports required by the sponsors.
