Family to Family Support

Ask a Trained Parent

Connecting with local, trained parents is the best way to get your questions answered and to find emotional support from people living in your own community. To find a local contact near you, visit the Hands & Voices Chapter contact page or the Hands & Voices FL3 listing of family-based organizations and family leaders on the Family to Family - Need Support page.

Other general questions may come up about what to expect in your virtual audiology appointment or where to find resources.  We will connect you to your local resources whenever possible. You can ask a question of a Hands & Voices Headquarters trained parent by filling out the form below.

The Guide By Your Side team provides Parent-to-Parent support in Washington state.

“It really helps when a parent who doesn’t know anything about hearing loss can ask another parent who has been through the ropes anything. She’s more like a friend, someone who understands, another mom who knows. If I didn’t have someone to talk to, I’d be lost and not aware of where to go for help. This is a great connection.”

“The Parent Guides were very knowledgeable and have lots of contacts. We like that we can get connected with people quickly and that they provide lots of information about education and events that I wouldn’t be able to go out and find quickly with a new baby.”
